Nanette Richard is a native New Yorker living in France since the early nineties. At a very young age she was very fortunate to have been able to travel abroad. Passionate about art and culture, she always enjoyed visiting museums to discover both impressionist and contemporary artists.  Her travels have been a strong source of inspiration in her artwork through geometric forms, nature and countryside fields.

 

Nanette has always had a flair for coordinating colors. Harmony and mystery are constantly sought in her work. Her technique combines oil pastels with acrylic paint to bring out a sense of 'elsewhere' leading to a faraway destination. The process begins with an undefined place linked with a handful of colors that unfold into an imaginary, timeless journey into the unknown.



Nanette's art studio is located in the suburbs of Paris. Visits to her studio are on appointment basis where she would be happy to show her art work to the public.
